Special 2nd January 2010 NWI Tweetup – Blog Indiana Viewing Party

In addition to the Official January 2010 NWI Tweetup being held at BW3s in Portage, IN on Wednesday, the 20th, NWITweetup.com has learned that a 2nd Tweetup has been scheduled to take place at Golden Tech‘s famous Boiler Room on the 27th.
The theme of this NWI Tweetup: Blog Indiana!
What is Blog Indiana?
Blog Indiana is the state’s definitive inbound / internet marketing event, held every August in Indianapolis. Many of Indiana’s premier internet and social media companies, thought leaders, as well as anybody or company who has even has a passing interest in the craft gather together for a few days of seminars, classes, free form discussions, and afterparties.
Keynote speakers at Blog Indiana have included Chris Brogan and Jason Falls. Indiana’s own Douglas Karr (DK New Media), Chris Baggott (Compendium Blogware) and The Region’s own Steve Dalton and Jonathan Thomas have also spoken at the event.
NWI Tweetup’s January 2010 Blog Indiana Viewing Party
This year, Blog Indiana is taking their act on the road in the months leading up to the much-anticipated convention. The first event will take place on January 27th at SproutBox in Bloomington, IN with keynote speaker Erik Deckers of both Pro Blog Service and the Indiana Department of Tourism’s “Visit Indiana” blog.
The Blog Indiana event will be aired via streaming video at the aforementioned Golden Tech Boiler Room. Since the event is starting earlier than normal (5:15pm) due to the time difference, arrangements are being made for refreshments. At worst, someone will be ordering pizza (UPDATE 2010/01/25: food will now be sponsored by Bistro 1-5-7, Pikk’s Tavern, and Wagner’s Ribs)

Given those who’ve already shown interest in attending this special NWI Tweetup, rumor has it another #aftertweetup will break out. That’s probably a pretty sound rumor.

A Tweetup in a Boiler Room?
For those concerned that we’re holding a Tweetup in an actual Boiler Room, Golden Tech’s famed “Boiler Room” is a recreational room (presumably) named for their allegiance to Purdue University.
